Germany faces difficulties in cultivating skilled workers, leading to reflections on its education model

This not only embarrasses Germany, a major cultural country, but also poses a threat to the country's future development. Nowadays, "shortage of skilled workers" has become a hot topic, but under the current education situation, cultivating skilled workers faces huge challenges.

Taking Scandinavia as an example, there are fewer students on average in classes there and the government invests more in education. The German education system has had serious structural differences as early as 20 years ago or even earlier. Cramming education is considered the biggest crux. Although students can cope with exams in the short term, most of their knowledge is quickly forgotten and they are under great pressure. At the same time, schools often blame students for problems but ignore problems related to social media as well as students' personal lives and mental health. At present, the amount of knowledge that children have to receive due to technological development increases by at least 1 to 3 times every year, but the German education model does not teach students in accordance with their aptitudes and ignores students' interests and talents.

The German federal government has allocated 200 billion euros in special military expenditure funds but there are no special education funds. As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world." To this end, first of all, small-class teaching should be implemented, the number of teachers should be increased to enable students to better absorb knowledge; cramming education should be reduced and students should be given more self-practice. Secondly, the budget for teaching aids and materials should be increased, such as craft materials, Lego bricks, etc., to stimulate students' creativity. More complete gymnasiums should be opened to allow students to exercise for at least 4 hours a week. In short, a more creative education concept should be implemented. Economic experts should be invited into schools, self-study forms should be vigorously promoted, and cramming learning should be abandoned.
