National Transportation Safety Board of the United States: Boeing Needs Major Improvements in Safety Measures.

On August 6th, Jennifer Homendy, the chairperson of the National Transportation Safety Board of the United States, stated that the National Transportation Safety Board and Boeing have not yet determined the specific cause of the "door falling off" incident of a Boeing passenger plane that occurred in January.

Homendy said that Boeing needs to make major improvements to its safety measures.

On January 5th of this year, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 passenger plane in the United States had an accident shortly after takeoff, and a door plug on the side of the cabin fell off. The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States subsequently requested Boeing to submit an improved quality control plan for incidents such as the falling off of the door plug and simultaneously prohibited Boeing from increasing the production of 737 MAX series passenger planes.
