James received four stitches

In the lower half of the men's basketball quarterfinals of the Olympic Games held on August 6th, the US men's basketball team won a big victory over the Brazilian team with a score of 122 - 87 and advanced to the semi-finals. During the game, James was hit hard in the face by the elbow of the Brazilian player De Paula during a scramble and was subsequently substituted.

The head coach of the US team, Kerr, revealed after the game that this impact caused a split in James' eyebrow bone and an injury to his head, and he had to undergo a four-stitch suture treatment.

Despite the accidental injury, James still demonstrated high efficiency in his limited 16 minutes of playing time. He made 5 of 6 shots, 2 of 3 free throws, contributed 12 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. His plus-minus value on the court was as high as +21, laying a solid foundation for the victory of the US team.
