Recently, Japanese company Sharp officially announced its entry into the electric vehicle market, attracting widespread attention.

It is reported that Sharp will release its electric vehicle concept car - "LDK+" at its technology day event to be held at the Tokyo International Forum from September 17 to 18. This concept car is planned and developed in cooperation with Foxconn based on an open platform for electric vehicles, and also involves Folofly Corporation. "LDK+" is positioned as a compact van, creating the vehicle interior as an "extended living room." This car is full of highlights. It is equipped with rotatable rear seats and a large display screen, and can adjust the in-car air conditioning and brightness through artificial intelligence. The 65V display screen at the rear of the vehicle can not only be used as a movie room or children's play area but also for remote work and communicating with family. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with a storage battery and solar panels, which can be connected to homes to achieve optimal integrated energy management and even supply power to homes in case of power outages during disasters.

Sharp's chief technology officer, Taneya Mototaka, said that as the world moves towards a carbon-free society, electric vehicles will further develop. Sharp hopes to provide more convenience to customers by relying on its past experience in manufacturing daily consumer goods. Some ***yses point out that Sharp's main business, liquid crystal panels, has shrunk due to the sluggish market. The company hopes to make electric vehicles a new pillar of revenue.

At present, the electric vehicle market is highly competitive. Although Sharp has certain technical advantages, it still faces many challenges in fields such as complete vehicle manufacturing. Whether it can successfully launch electric vehicles in a few years and gain a foothold in the market still needs time to test. All sectors will also be waiting to see Sharp's follow-up development in the field of electric vehicles.
