OpenAI Faces Another Lawsuit and Multiple Executives from the Security Department Resign

On August 7, 2024, OpenAI faced another lawsuit and multiple executives from the security department resigned. 

On August 5, one of the co-founders of OpenAI, John Schulman, switched to the rival Anthropic to research artificial intelligence security. 

At the end of May this year, OpenAI announced the development of a new artificial intelligence model. 

Musk sued OpenAI and its CEO again on the 5th, claiming that it established a for-profit related network. 

The US Federal Trade Commission is reviewing the evidence of its violation of consumer protection laws, and internal "whistleblowers" have accused the company's management.

In recent months, several security chiefs have quit, and only two of the original 11-person founding team remain. 

Altman and others founded OpenAI in 2015. Musk withdrew in 2018. In 2019, OpenAI transformed into a for-profit organization and reached a financing agreement with Microsoft, which is currently under review by the European Union.
