British Prime Minister Starmer: The ongoing violent incidents have developed into "violent riots".

On August 6 local time, British Prime Minister Starmer stated at the Cabinet meeting that the ongoing violent incidents are no longer protests but "violent riots", and those involved in violent acts will quickly face "full legal sanctions".

Heidi Alexander, the British Secretary of State for Justice, said the same day that the British government will prepare more than 500 prison vacancies to ensure that those involved in violence can be imprisoned.

Stephen Parkinson, the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Crown Prosecution Service of the UK, said that as of that day, among the approximately 400 people arrested for the riots, approximately 100 have been charged with relevant offenses. Those with more serious circumstances may be charged with terrorism crimes.

Recently, large-scale protests against the British government's immigration policy have occurred in many places in the UK. In some areas, protesters have vandalized vehicles and houses, evolving into large-scale violent riots.
