This attack led to the unfortunate deaths of two female journalists and left many others injured, including one journalist who was seriously injured. This tragic event has attracted widespread attention.

The Foreign Relations Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) parliamentary bloc quickly issued statements on the same day, strongly condemning this attack. They pointed out that this attack is a blatant violation of Iraq's territorial and air sovereignty and a serious violation of international law and international conventions. At the same time, they emphasized that all parties must respect press freedom and strongly called for holding the perpetrators accountable.

Local Iraqi media said that the drone that launched this attack belonged to the Turkish army, but there is no response from the Turkish side for the time being.
