On August 25 local time, in Beccles, UK, 102-year-old Manette Bailey completed an astonishing challenge - skydiving, becoming the oldest skydiver in the UK.

On that day, residents of Beccles flocked to the airport to witness this extraordinary moment. Accompanied by a professional skydiving instructor, Bailey bravely jumped from a high altitude. In the air, she fully experienced the thrill of free fall and finally landed successfully. Immediately, there was a burst of cheers at the scene. After landing, Bailey exclaimed "It's wonderful" with a bright smile on her face.

Bailey's skydive was not only to celebrate her birthday but also with the good intention of raising funds for three charities. She said that she is in good physical condition, which to some extent encouraged her to take on this challenge. In addition, during World War II, Bailey served in the Women's Royal Naval Service and had a tough will and brave spirit. Before skydiving, she humorously said, "I was once married to a paratrooper, but I have never experienced skydiving."

Bailey's feat broke the record for the oldest skydiver in the UK. The previous record was set by British World War II veteran Verdun Hayes on May 14, 2017. He was 101 years and 38 days old when he skydived. Bailey's courage and adventurous spirit inspire countless people. She has proven with practical actions that age is not an obstacle to pursuing dreams.

After the news spread, many people, including members of the British royal family, sent messages of thanks and wishes to Bailey. Bailey has always maintained her love for life and a positive attitude. Her secret to a long life is to cherish "community and friends", like "interacting with people", "stay busy, maintain interest in everything, be friendly to people and accept the kindness of others, and don't forget to attend parties." Her story will be remembered and become an inspiring legend.
