According to the Jiji Press and Kyodo News Agency of Japan on September 3, the "Kishida Faction" of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party officially submitted an application to dissolve the political group on that day.

The "Kishida Faction" once had certain influence within the Liberal Democratic Party, and its history can be traced back to 1957 when the Hosokawa Kai founded by former Japanese Prime Minister Hayato Ikeda. Including Masayoshi Ohira and Kiichi Miyazawa, about five former prime ministers come from this faction. However, in recent years, this faction has faced many challenges and problems.

In January this year, the former accounting person in charge of the "Kishida Faction" was registered for investigation due to suspected illegal activities. The specific problem was that about 30 million yen was omitted in the report on the income and expenditure of political funds, which had a serious impact on the "Kishida Faction". Affected by this, the "Kishida Faction" decided to dissolve itself to deal with the crisis. Previously, the "Abe Faction" and the "Nikai Faction" within the Liberal Democratic Party also announced dissolution plans due to similar political fund problems and scandals.

The Liberal Democratic Party in Japan has many internal factions, and each faction has played an important role in political decision-making, resource allocation and other aspects. But with the exposure of a series of political scandals, the public's trust in the factional politics of the Liberal Democratic Party has declined, which has also prompted the internal reflection and adjustment within the Liberal Democratic Party. The submission of the dissolution application by the "Kishida Faction" this time marks another major change in the internal pattern of the Liberal Democratic Party and also reflects the pressure and challenges faced by the Japanese party politics under the current situation. In the future, the direction of the Japanese political arena and how the Liberal Democratic Party reshapes its image and stabilizes the situation are highly concerned by all sectors. We will continue to follow up and report on the relevant follow-up developments.
