On the afternoon of September 6 local time, the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents of the Brazilian Air Force released the preliminary investigation results of the crash of Vopas Airlines flight 2283.

The investigation results show that the crashed passenger plane itself is certified and has the ability to fly in icing conditions, and the crew also has and has flight experience in dealing with icing situations. Before takeoff, the crew had obtained relevant weather information and knew that the flight would fly in severe icing conditions. But surprisingly, the crew did not declare an emergency. In the end, the plane lost control in an icing state, leading to this tragic accident.

Previously, the Brazilian Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents transcribed the data of the cockpit voice recorder of the crashed plane. The records show that the conversation between the captain and the co-pilot lasted about two hours. When realizing that the plane had lost lift, the co-pilot asked the captain about the situation and said that power needed to be provided to the plane to stabilize it. From the time the captain and co-pilot realized that the plane's altitude had dropped sharply to the moment it hit the ground, it only took about one minute. During this period, although the two tried to perform some operations, the recording ended in screams.

On August 9, this passenger plane flying from Cascavel, Paraná State, Brazil to Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo crashed in Vinedo, São Paulo State. All 62 people on board were killed. This preliminary investigation result has laid the foundation for a more in-depth and detailed investigation in the future. The Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents of the Brazilian Air Force said it will continue to conduct in-depth investigations to determine the final cause of the accident as soon as possible and give an explanation to the families of the victims and society. This accident has also sounded an alarm for global aviation safety and triggered people's renewed attention and thinking about flight safety safeguards.
