On September 7 local time, Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, was immersed in a festive atmosphere as a grand military-civilian parade ceremony on Independence Day was held here to celebrate the 202nd anniversary of Brazil's independence.

Brazilian President Lula, dressed in full attire and in high spirits, inspected the troops and watched the parade ceremony along with other government officials. This parade was on a grand scale, with about 9,000 people participating from different groups, including soldiers, student representatives from Brasilia, and athletes who will represent Brazil in the Paris Olympics soon, fully demonstrating Brazil's diverse vitality and spirit of unity.

There are many highlights in this year's parade. One of the major highlights is the display of the flags of the members of the G20, highlighting Brazil's important position in this multilateral organization and also reflecting Brazil's great attention to the G20 leaders' summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro in November this year. In addition, the parade ceremony also expressed respect to all the staff involved in the post-disaster reconstruction in Rio Grande do Sul. In May this year, the area was hit by floods, causing about 200 deaths and hundreds of thousands of people to be displaced. The selfless dedication and hard work of these staff have brought hope for the affected people to rebuild their homes.

Looking back at history, on September 7, 1822, Brazil declared independence from Portuguese colonial rule. Since then, this day has become Brazil's Independence Day every year, carrying the country's history and glory. This parade ceremony is not only a commemoration of the past independence history but also an important opportunity for Brazil to show its national strength and future development potential to the world. It attracts global attention and also inspires the Brazilian people to continue to strive for the prosperity and strength of the country. In Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and other places, parades and celebration processions were also held, and the whole country jointly celebrated this important moment.
