The president of Kazakhstan presides over a meeting of the National Security Council

On September 9 local time, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presided over a meeting of the National Security Council.

During the meeting, Tokayev listened to reports from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrovich Baybazarov, Minister of Defense Ruslan Beketayevich Zhaksylykov, and Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Asset Issekeshev on the implementation of measures to strengthen national defense capacity building. The National Security Council passed a decision to increase the country's military potential and strengthen the modernization of military equipment, which clearly includes equipping with domestic military weapons.
