A police station in the Colombian capital was hit by a grenade attack, leaving 10 people injured

On the evening of September 10 local time, a serious attack occurred at a police station in Kennedy Town, south of Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. A grenade was detonated near the police station, and the huge explosion sound resounded through the surrounding area.

This attack injured eight civilians and two police officers, a total of 10 people were injured. The explosion also caused varying degrees of damage to multiple cars and houses around. It is reported that around 6 pm on the same day, the attack occurred in the María Paz district of Kennedy Town, Bogotá. This area has always had a high incidence of violent crimes. The police have recently carried out severe crackdowns on local criminals.

After the incident, Bogotá Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán quickly went to the incident area to inspect and assess the situation. He said, "We think this is revenge for the efforts made by the police here." At present, the Metropolitan Police Department of Bogotá has launched a comprehensive and in-depth investigation into the attack to quickly identify the identity and motives of the attackers.
