According to reports on August 11 local time, the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus said that a mechanized unit of the country has entered a state of combat readiness.

Earlier, on August 10, Belarusian President Lukashenko said that the Belarusian Air Force and air defense forces entered a state of first-level combat readiness at 18:00 on the 9th. The reason was that the Ukrainian armed forces violated all behavioral rules and violated the airspace of the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian air defense forces destroyed several targets that entered its territory. The Belarusian side suspected that these targets were attack drones that took off from Ukraine and violated the airspace of Belarus.

Belarusian Defense Minister Khrenin told the media on the 10th that at 18:10 on the 9th, the Belarusian air defense forces on duty discovered unidentified flying objects flying from Ukraine towards Belarus. Subsequently, the Belarusian Air Force and air defense forces entered a state of first-level combat readiness. After the air targets entered the airspace of Belarus, the Belarusian side destroyed some of the targets. The remaining drones flew in the direction of Russia. According to the information shared by the Russian side, these targets were shot down near Yaroslavl, Russia. Khrenin also mentioned that, in accordance with Lukashenko's order, the Belarusian armed forces have strengthened military deployments in the Gomel and Mozir tactical directions to respond to any possible provocations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus issued a statement on the same day, stating that the violation of the Belarusian border by Ukrainian attack drones is a very serious incident. These criminal acts have sharply escalated the situation, are a dangerous attempt to expand the current conflict in the region, and an attempt to involve Belarus. The statement pointed out that if the conflict expands, the war will sweep the entire region and spread to EU countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus will notify relevant agencies of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as other international organizations that Belarus has joined of the incident, and emphasize that the Belarusian side will fully exercise its right to self-defense and make an appropriate response to any provocation or hostile action. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned the Ukrainian chargé d'affaires to Belarus on the same day and submitted a protest note, strongly protesting against the violation of the Belarusian border by Ukrainian drones and demanding that the Ukrainian side take measures to avoid similar incidents that may further escalate the regional situation in the future. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus specifically pointed out, "If the Ukrainian diplomatic agency in Belarus cannot have an impact on preventing such provocations, the Belarusian side may raise the question of whether it is appropriate for it to continue to stay in Minsk."

In addition, on August 10 local time, the Belarusian state television station released images of the wreckage of Ukrainian drones that invaded the Belarusian airspace and were shot down on the 9th. According to the television station, the wreckage of the shot-down drones contained components manufactured by NATO countries.
