A landslide occurred in Nepal, resulting in six deaths

In the early morning of August 25, 2024, a serious landslide occurred in Ramechhap District in central Nepal. According to local police, continuous heavy rainfall triggered this disaster, and three houses were instantly washed away by the landslide.

This accident caused heavy casualties. Six people died unfortunately and one person was injured. At present, rescuers are still making every effort to search for four missing people. Neupane, a spokesperson for the Ramechhap District police, said that rescue work faces many difficulties. A local bridge was also washed away in the disaster, bringing great inconvenience to people's travel.

Police data shows that as of the 23rd of this month, natural disasters caused by heavy rainfall during the rainy season have killed 195 people, injured 247 people, and another 49 people are missing in the country.
