A small plane crash in Oregon, the United States, caused a fire

Around 10:30 a.m. on August 31 local time, a small plane crashed near a residential area in Fairview, Oregon, the United States, and caused a fire.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, there were two people on board the plane. After the plane crashed, it hit a townhouse, causing the house to catch fire. A utility pole also collapsed due to the accident, resulting in a power outage in the local area for several hours, affecting about 9,000 people.

Firefighters confirmed in the evening of the same day that the accident had caused at least three deaths, but could not confirm other relevant details of the victims. Local officials said that the fire caused by the crash had spread to four houses, forcing up to six families to flee, and one resident was unaccounted for.
