A bus rollover accident in Mississippi, the United States, led to 7 deaths and 37 injuries

In the early morning of August 31 local time, a serious bus rollover accident occurred in Mississippi, the United States, attracting widespread attention.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, at around 0:40 on that day, a bus carrying dozens of people was traveling west on Interstate 20 near Bovina in Warren County when it suddenly rushed off the highway and overturned. The accident caused 6 people to die on the spot, and 1 person died after being sent to the hospital. Another 37 passengers were injured and were urgently sent to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of these passengers' injuries has not been released yet.

Photos from the scene show that the red bus was severely damaged, with one side window broken and passengers' clothes hanging on one side of the bus. It is understood that this bus is a 2018 Volvo commercial bus, and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Doug Huskey, the coroner of Warren County, revealed that the deceased included three women and four men, among them were a brother and sister, aged 6 and 16 respectively. Regarding the cause of the accident, the National Transportation Safety Board reported that it was caused by a tire failure. But the specific cause and details of the failure are still under further investigation.
