Recently, Australia's military interactions with India and Japan have become increasingly frequent, attracting widespread attention from the international community.

The Australian Department of Defense announced that Australia is dispatching fighter jets to India for the first time to participate in the large-scale multinational exercise "Taran Shakti - 2024" hosted by India. The exercise is held at the Jodhpur Air Force Base in India from August 30 to September 13. The Royal Australian Air Force has dispatched a total of three EA - 18G "Growler" fighter jets and 120 personnel to participate. In recent years, Australia-India air defense cooperation has been continuously strengthened. The Indian Air Force has participated in the "Pitch Black" military exercise held in Australia many times. The Australian Air Force has also carried out a series of training operations with the Indian Navy's P - 8I "Neptune" reconnaissance aircraft.

At the same time, Australia and Japan will also hold a foreign and defense ministers' "2+2" dialogue in Melbourne on the 5th of this month. It is expected that the two sides will commit to deeper security cooperation including expanding joint exercises. Previously, Japan had also considered participating in the bidding for Australia's new naval ships. If successful, this will be another major international joint development project for Japan after jointly developing a new generation of fighter jets with the United Kingdom and Italy.

Australia's strengthened military interactions with India and Japan will undoubtedly have an important impact on the regional situation. On the one hand, it may exacerbate the military competition in the region and make the regional security pattern more complex. On the other hand, it may also trigger corresponding reactions and strategic adjustments from other countries. The international community generally pays attention to the follow-up development of this trend and the challenges and opportunities it brings to regional peace and stability. All parties call on relevant countries to fully consider the overall interests of the region while strengthening military cooperation and resolve differences and disputes through peaceful and dialogue methods to jointly maintain regional peace and prosperity.
